Richard Pak 

Born in 1972 in France, he works as independent photographer since 1998. Published in French and international magazines such as The Observer and Le Monde 2, he also exhibited his work, among others, at Noorderlicht Photofestival and the Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie in Arles. His personal project titled Pursuit, realized in US between 2003 and 2009, will be exhibited, during 2010, at the Center Atlantique de la Photographie in Brest and at the Galerie Le Lieu, in Lorient, France. Currently based in Paris, he's represented by Picture Thank. 

Nato a Cobeil (Francia), nel 1972, è fotografo professionista dal 1998. Le sue foto sono state pubblicate da magazine come The Observer, Le Monde 2, The Indipendent Magazine, ed esposte in festival internazionali come il Noorderlicht Photofestival e i Rencontres Internationales di Arles.

Il suo progetto Pursuit, realizzato negli Usa tra il 2003 e il 2009, sarà in mostra nel corso del 2010 al Centre Atlantique de la Photographie di Brest e alla Galerie Le Lieu, a Lorient, in Francia. Vive a Parigi ed è rappresentato da Picture Thank.

• Pursuit •

A six year project, started in 2003, Pursuit is the disenchanted chronicle of a fantasized America. It is a photographical fiction in the shape of a nationwide wandering in a country running after its dream. Pursuit, the series’ title, echoes the 

United States Declaration of Independence stating every American’s rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”. This work is a photographical diary of this chimerical quest, happiness, erected here as a constitutional right. 

Frutto di un lavoro di sei anni, Pursuit è la cronaca di un'America immaginifica, un viaggio fotografico alla rincorsa di un paese che rincorre il suo sogno. Il titolo fa eco alla Dichiarazione di Indipendenza degli Stati Uniti, che afferma il diritto di ogni americano "al perseguimento della felicità", erigendo questa ricerca chimerica a diritto costituzionale.
